South Africa

 Princess of South Africa
A beautiful young woman graciously rules over the peaceful village.  She is the daughter of the Ndebele paramount chief the descendant of a proto-Nguni tribe, related to the proud Xhosa and Zulu.  She moves magnificently throughout the village and greets her people, warmly saying "Litshonile" (hello).

President of South Africa
The first democratically elected President of South Africa, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela,  was born on  July 18, 1918 in Qunu, Transkei of South Africa to royal parents Fanny Nonqaphi Nosekeni and Henry Gadia Mandela.  Mandela's family lived in the village of Mvezo, where his father was the chief of the Thembu Tribe (tribe of the Xhosa nation).

  1. Very nice!

The Princess of South Africa Barbie is probably my favourite of all of the international line dolls they've made. :)
