Atlantis- Space Shuttle

Michael Ardan went to watch the last shuttle mission of NASA.  It was ending its program after 30 years.

Michael Ardan is a Shuttle Astronaut.  The box was titled "Space Voyagers" from 1981 to present.   30 years.  The figure came out in 1999 from Action Products International.  His name was not on the box but on his uniform.

Congratulations to Derek Jeter

Congratulations

Hooray.  Derek Jeter got his 3000 hit yesterday and it was a  home run.  He is the 26th player to do it and the only one to have all his hits with one team, The Yankees.

New Clothes

I recently hosted a doll club meeting at my house.  One of the members commented on my male doll clothes and he stated that Brad (Mattel) needed to wear some vintage clothes. I told him that I would look for some clothes for him.

Within 2 weeks the doll member had mailed me 5 different outfits.  I was surprised and amazed.  It was so nice of him.  Here is Brad and friends in their new clothes.

Happy 4th of July

Have a Happy 4th of July.
The Day the United States declared its independence from Great Britian in 1776.
In 1996, Will Smith starred in a movie titled Independence Day.  It was about an alien invasion against Earth and the citizens fighting against them on the 4th of July.  This is a look a like doll created by Hot Toys.

Remi

I was able to get  Remi, Dynamite Girls- Plastic Inevitable doll from Integrity Toys.  I had my name added to the waiting list at one of the online doll stores.  I was upset because the dolls had sold out within a matter of hours.  Integrity Toys and Jason Wu are limiting the editions to about 300.  The dolls are pre-ordered by regular customers at the doll stores and you have to hope that they change their mind.

I was one of the first to support Integrity Toys when they first appeared at Caldor's Department stores (out of business). I think Integrity Toys  forgets about the earlier collectors when they create limited edition dolls.

Remi is becoming a top fashion photographer in the industry.

The jacket came with the blue paint on it.

The other doll that I ordered was Aria.  "Aria is a girl unlike any other.  A proud Latina she is one to always experiment with her fashion.  She owns whatever look she chooses to wear.  She’s a favorite stylist of Pop and Rock stars." The description is from Integrity Toys website.

Remi was one of two new males introduced in this series.  The other male is Auden. The other characters  are Rufus Blue and Jett.

Toys R Us action figure

I went to Toys R Us on Saturday and they have some new action figures..  They are called True Heroes- Combat Troops.  I saw 4 different figures and only one is African American.  It is part of the Toys R Us Family of Brands.  The figures are about  9 3/4 inches tall.  I wish they had added  another 2" to the figures.

His name is Brian W. Michaels- Elite Ranger, SD 2.  The description on the  Identification card states: Brown Hair, but he is bald,  brown eyes, 172 lbs and birth date is November 3, 1980.

He reminded me of another action figure in my collection.   See pictures below.

It is the Elite Force figure from BBI. (see Samuel Jackson post)

The picture on the identification card looks like him.
