Integrity Toy Convention

I was so excited to attend my first Integrity Toy Convention.   I was finally able to make it and it was on the east coast. I was going to Baltimore Maryland.  A month before the convention they send you a number for your purchase order.  I was number 508.  While some people went shopping on Thursday morning, I had to wait to purchase the same items on Friday Afternoon hoping they did not sell out.  They created 500 Darius dolls and he could have sold out but he did not.  A couple of dolls did before my number was called in the souvenir room.  The new system was to avoid long lines.

I am glad I went and was able to get dolls that might never hit the website.  But I was a little disappointed in that there were no Convention activities to get to know other conventioneers. No lectures, talks or presentations. No dancing at the parties and no after banquet fun.

They had 4 centerpiece dolls for the lunch and dinner events and none were African American.
This Convention is about buying the dolls than celebrating the collectors that buy the dolls.  Good thing I was next to the inner harbor and could go explore.

They were generous with the doll gifts at the events.  You got one doll and could win the right to purchase another.

It was good experience and I came home with some great dolls.

Barbie 60th Anniversary

Hello Everyone,

Barbie's Birthday was March 9, 2019 and she turned 60 years old.  I have been collecting her since 1991.

I went to the Barbie 60th Anniversary Pop up Experience in New York City on her birthday.  It was a nice event.  They gave away free fashionistas to children ages 3-12.

Here are some pictures from the day.

Change of Name from Male Doll World to World of Black Male Dolls and Action Figures

March is starting the new name for my blog.  The name Male Doll World was created when I first started but I decided the name should reflect more of what the blog is about and to reach a wider audience for both fashion doll and action figure collectors.

The new name is World of Black Male Dolls and Action Figures.  The focus will still remain on fashion dolls and action figures that are in the sizes of 11" to 13" .

Egypt

Prince of Egypt, Moses, Tzipporah, and the Queen

The Prince of Egypt is an epic drama that tells the story of two men, one born a slave and the other born a prince. But only one born to lead.  A lie made them brothers; the truth will destroy a kingdom and forever separate them in faith, heritage and destiny.
