I enjoyed her movies. She was a woman that could fight and hold her own against the men in the films. She was my action hero.

Pam Grier was the ish! I'm looking forward to her tribute. This figure is bringing the heat.
ReplyDeleteI still admire Pam Grier. I didn't get an opportunity to see many of her 1970s movies when they were released but I have seen a few on DVD in more recent years. Last week I watched the tail end of a more recent movie: Woman Thou Art Loosed on the 7th Day. She was a detective, kept her hair styled in two braids, and wore a cowboy hat and boots throughout most or all of the movie.
ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite Pam Grier movie remains Jackie Brown. I can watch it over and over again because I love it when women are the victors and look fan-tab-ulous while "kicking butt and taking names!" In this one, Jackie Brown didn't even have to exert much force to become the heroine.
