Problems with loading photos
I am having trouble loading photos to my blog because the message is stating that I am out of photo space on Picassa Web. However, when I go to Picassa Web it tells me that I only used 12% of space. Has this happen to anyone else?
Thanks everyone for your help. After your comments, I searched google and found the reason. I have to reduce the pixels in the photo to under 800 and then the pictures will post. There is a limit with photos over 800 pixels and I reached that limit.
I am surprised I have not run out of space. I am sure my pixels were greater than 800 until recently when I reduced my image size from 12 megapixels to 6 on my camera. Most of my photos are of dolls for Internet sharing purposes. Reducing the megapixels eliminates having to resize them before uploading.
I can always change the megapixels before taking pictures of real people.
Glad you figured it out. I always resize to 800x600 for posting purposes, but keep the original size on my card as a back up. You never know when someone will call and want a larger image file. So it's nice to have the larger file on hand to manipulate as necessary. (Hey, Debbie!) I now have 3 camera cards. Two are full. They are so cheap these days, I find it to be a nice backup system.
I haven't received that message yet - whew - probably because I began reducing the photo size to "for web page" setting. I, too, used to upload full sized photos ... back when I first started blogging. Boy, did I make a mess of some photos - too heavy, too small ... argh. Mostly need to work on focus now. And lightening ....
You photos are always nice. They don't take long to upload. I'm glad that you fixed the temporary glitch.
No problems here. Are you using the new Blogger interface or the old?
ReplyDeleteTried posting a comment last night... are you using the new Blogger interface? If not, that may be the problem.
ReplyDeleteI didn't experience any image uploading issues during my last post.

Weird... now I can see last night's comment. Your photo issue may have been a temporary Blogger glitch.
