These Christies came with something extra

Chair Flair Christie came with an ever flex waist and chair.  “Hanging out with my friends is fun in our cool butterfly chair”.
Fashion Photo Christie came with a camera and stand to move her into different poses. Her waist was flexible to create various poses.
Secret Spells Christie came with Barbie and Kayla- the power of 3.  The dolls were loosely based on the television show Charmed.  She came with a secret book compartment and potions. She was school girl by day and witch at night.
Cut and Style Christie. This is the second doll under this name. The first one was created in 1994.  You could cut her growing hair again and again.  She came with extra pieces of hair to add.

Day 5 of Christie tribute:

Christie has had several hairstyles over the years. Pop life Christie wears a short hair cut. The first one since the 1970.  She is surrounded by Jam and Glam Christie. She is showing her blue hair but with  a twist of the scalp, she is now wearing black hair. Glam and Groom Christie was a gift set with her pet dog, Keely. She wears two curly pigtails.  I love the hair and orange jumpsuit on Cool Lookz Trent and Bendy.  Hollywood Nails Christie has hair that is  single strands that looks like microbraids.  She is one of the first Christie’s that came in two versions.  The faces and hair are different.  The hairstyles have two different cuts and textures.

Christie Tribute continues:


Christie has changed over the years  from 1970 to the 2000.
They are ready to celebrate in their crochet fur coats.  Can you guess the years that they were created.
Live Action Christie, Very Velvet Christie, Rio De Janeiro Christie, Pink and Pretty Christie,
Malibu Christie.

After the 1969 Christie, she would never wear short  hair again until 2007 with Pop Life Christie..  Live Action Christie is the first one to wear Long straight hair.  Live Action made a one time appearance and then she was gone. There are two versions of Malibu Christie and then she was gone. They are unique in that you can clearly identify them as Christie.

Christie has a date for her celebration and it is talking Brad.  He looks good after being gone for 50 years.   Talking Brad would say,   My Name is Brad, what is yours? CHRISTIE is the greatest. Baseball is my favorite sport.  Come on, let’s go to the movies.  I dig the mod look. Hey, Let’s all go for a ride.  The love affair would only last a short time and he would never be seen again.

This is 1968/1969 Christie and a reproduction of her. The reproduction was a twist and turn.

Christie was the first fashion doll in modern times to be featured.  She was the black friend of Barbie .  It was groundbreaking to have a fashion doll that could be like you and that she was not a carbon copy of Barbie.  She was successful unlike Black Francie the year before.

Christie came in various hairstyles but this is the first one she wore and would not be seen with a shirt hairstyle for many years.

This is my  tribute to Christie.  She turned 50 in 2018 and she did not get a big birthday bash. I decided that the doll world will come out and celebrate her for the month.
This is a reproduction Christie that was created in 2018 as a gift set with PJ and Francie. It was the Mod Friends gift set that was a reproduction of the dolls from 1968.
