One of his songs was Sophisticated Lady introduced as an instrumental in 1933. Words to the song were added later. * This doll was named after that song. She was created by the Franklin Mint. There was supposed to be a second doll in the series called Mood Indigo, but she never was produced.

ReplyDeleteI remember seeing this doll advertised "back in the day" in Ebony/Essence/and/or the Sunday insert magazine, Parade. I was tempted to order, but did not.

I think that was one of the magazine that I ordered her from. I miss the inserts of special dolls made by Franklin Mint.
